ENID, Okla. —
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of a Mooreland man over the weekend as “suspicious.”
Ellis County Sheriff’s Office was notified early Sunday of the death of 18-year-old Kolby Bowers.
Bowers was taken by private vehicle after midnight from a party a few miles north of Fargo to a hospital in Woodward, according to a release from the OSBI. Once there, doctors pronounced him dead.
OSBI agents were called about 2 a.m. Sunday to investigate the death. Agents and criminalists spent Sunday documenting the scene of the death where the party took place and interviewing dozens of partygoers about what happened to Bowers.
The office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine Bowers’ cause and manner of death.
