Enid lights it up with annual tradition

ENID, Okla. — Hundreds gathered on the Garfield County Court House lawn in downtown Enid Friday night to ring in the holiday season with the city's annual Lights Up the Plains celebration featuring entertainment, refreshments, lights, horse-drawn rides and fireworks.

Construction moved the fireworks from their traditional location south of the lawn area to the eastern part of the area, where the cross shining on Broadway Tower provided a perfect backdrop for the year's firework event.

Crowds cheered the fireworks and the numerous local entertainers that took the stage at the Gazebo to perform.

More Enid Lights Up the Plains activities are scheduled throughout the remainder of the season. Check the Enid News & Eagle for dates and times of events.
