ENID — Veterans Day Parade

Come to downtown Enid Saturday morning to honor our military heroes.
Enid’s annual Veterans Day parade will kick off at 10 a.m. The parade will be led by Lt. Jacob Jensen, an undergraduate training student at Vance Air Force Base, who will be this year’s parade marshal.
Participants in the parade will gather at 8 a.m. at Q Spot, 221 W. Cherokee, where the parade will begin.
The parade will go from there to Grand, north on Grand, west on Randolph, south on Independence, then back to 221 W. Cherokee.
Participants in this year’s parade include Vance honor guard, Enid Mustang and Corvette car clubs, Enid Police and Fire departments, and a number of rural fire departments.
Emcee of the parade will be David McCoy.
Also participating in the parade will be Patriot Motorcycle Club, Cimarron Valley Chapter of American Red Cross and Salvation Army.
A Taste of St. Joe’s
7-11 p.m. Saturday
Cherokee Strip Conference Center
The annual fundraiser for St. Joseph’s Catholic School, A Taste of St. Joe’s, will be 7-11 p.m. Saturday at Cherokee Strip Conference Center.
Tickets are $50 per person and may be paid for at the door. There will be an open bar for beer and wine 7-8:30 p.m., while a cash bar will be offered all night.
The event includes both a silent and live auction. Proceeds from the event, which is the largest fundraising opportunity for the school, will go directly toward the school.
Catering for the event will be provided by Panevino. Lippard Auctioneers will conduct the live auction.
Prizes in the auction include: dinner with the Rev. Joseph M. Irwin, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, a chef’s dinner for six offered by Panevino, and an Oklahoma State University football signed by quarterback Brandon Weeden.
There will be more than 100 items available during the silent auction.
