Big boy toys and little boys’ dreams will be on display June 20 during Enid Civitan Club Wheat Capital Car Show.
A motorcade of classic and custom cars, hot rods, motorcycles and other entries will cruise into the Garfield County Fairgrounds for the event, which is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
“We plan for a day of great activities, wonderful music and cars, cars, cars,” said Steve Bradford, Civitan president. “We will have pinewood derby car races with half the proceeds benefiting the Boy Scout program.”
Two separate races will be held, one by the Boy Scouts’ rules and one by the “anything goes” rule, he said.
The Enid RC Speedway also will be hosting an exhibition of remote control car races. Classic hits from the ’50s and ’60s will be playing throughout the day.
Cars from all categories will be judged, including custom, street rod, classic, antique, mini truck, low rider, pro street and imports.
