Roger Hardaway of Alva and Sarah Owens of Enid will marry May 24, 2014, in Shiloh National Military Park in Tennessee.
Sarah is a museum assistant at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid. She is a graduate of Hardin County High School in Savannah, Tenn., and holds a certificate in dental assisting from Centura College in Virginia; an associate degree from Northern Oklahoma College; and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Roger is a professor of history at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. He is a graduate of Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tenn. He holds bachelor’s degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Memphis; master’s degrees from New Mexico State University, the University of Wyoming, and Eastern New Mexico University; a law degree from the University of Memphis; and a doctorate in history from the University of North Dakota. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
After a honeymoon in Ireland and Barbados, the couple will make their home in Enid. Their family includes Sarah’s daughters, Alexis and Haley.
