Doug Stewart, 74, passed away at his home in Hazelton on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at United Methodist Church, Kiowa, Kan. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hazelton. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Kiowa. Condolences may be shared with the family at lanmanmemorials.com. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, March 6, 2014.
Douglas Lill Stewart was born June 12, 1939, to Clyde and Margie Shroyer Stewart at the Gallaway Hospital in Anthony, Kan. He attended Hazelton schools and graduated in 1957.
He was inducted into the Army on Dec. 5, 1961. He went to Colorado for basic training and then stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. From Fort Hood, he was convoyed to Florida, where they boarded a troop transport and set off the coast of Cuba at the Missile Crisis. He was discharged Sept. 6, 1963.
Russell D. Pollard
Funeral for Russell D. Pollard, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at First Christian Church, officiated by the Rev. Mickey Moery and the Rev. Dr. Don Rogers. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Born Oct. 17, 1928, in Lovell, Okla., to Jack and Velma Pollard.
Russell graduated from Marshall High School in 1946.
He was baptized in the First Christian Church in Marshall at the age of 16.
He farmed and ranched in the Lovell area.
He married Patsy Jane Booth in Crescent on Aug. 12, 1950. They lived in Crescent until Patsy finished college at Central State in Edmond.
Two of their sons, Barry and Brad were born while they were living in Lovell. In 1957, Russell enrolled at Oklahoma State, then named Oklahoma A&M.
Alana Rae Burnham
Funeral service for Alana Rae Burnham will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Chapel. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born Dec. 18, 2013, in Enid, Okla., and went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 2, 2014, in Enid.
She is survived by her mother, Madeleine Burnham; sister, Maleah Burnham; grandmother, Melanie Hassler; great-grandmother, LaJean Kirby and great-grandfather, Kent Kirby; Great-PaPa Harold; great-grandmother, Caroliane Rollo O’Connor; uncles, Augie Pritchett and Kane Pritchett; aunt, Persaias Hassler; great-great-grandmother, Lanoma Finley; great-uncles, Shane Pritchard, Michael Burnham; aunt, Kenda, J.P. Johnson and aunt, Shawna, Keith Salyer; great-aunt, Sherri Salyer, great-great-aunt Buggy; and many cousins and friends.
Linda Carolyn Tate
Graveside service for Linda Carolyn Tate, 66, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Texas. Brother Tommy Meadows will officiate the service. A memorial service is pending at Enid Moose Lodge.
Ms. Tate passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda Carolyn Tate was born Nov. 27, 1947, in Sherman, Texas, to Lloyd and Ida (McKenzie) Tate of Bonham, Texas, where she grew up.
Linda will be remembered for her love of college football, quick wit, do-it-yourself attitude and everything that came out of her kitchen.
