HENNESSEY — A private graveside service was held for Edward Johns, 83, in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Edward was born in Junction City, Kan., on Sept. 7, 1930, to Arthur E. and Louise Jamison Johns and died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Hennessey Care Center.
Surviving are sons, Stanley Johns and wife Kathy of Elk City, Jimmy Johns and wife Jenny of Florence, Ala., and Eddie Johns and wife Elaine of Enid; daughter, Dorothy Johns, and sister, Georgia Mae Farrington, both of Blackwell; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one son.
