ENID — Stanley Hayter, a longtime resident of Enid, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Integris Bass Hospital.  

Born in 1944, in Anthony, Kan., Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Hayter, and his granddaughter, Emily Hayter.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; four daughters, Wendy Burg, Nicole Bartell, Jana Sturgell and Ashley Moore; his mother, Doris Hayter; sister, Gini Patterson; and eight grandchildren.

Stanley served his country as a pilot in the Air Force.

He managed a farm. He worked for the co-op in Oklahoma. He then returned to the skies as a commercial airline pilot.

Stan enjoyed retirement by spending time with his family, traveling and feeling the freedom of the wind on his face as he rode his Harley.

A celebration of Stan’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan.
