ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Mary Jean (Speldie) Good, 76, will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Jefferson United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Michelle McCarty and Gary Lillie officiating. Interment to follow in Pond Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Okla.
Mary Jean was born Jan. 6, 1938, in Enid, Okla., to George and Helen Wilson Speldie. She died at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
Mary Jean Speldie and Kenneth Good were married Dec. 25, 1956, in Jefferson, Okla. She enrolled in Northwestern University, Alva, in 1963. Mary Jean received her master’s degree in speech pathology at Phillips University in Enid on April 27, 1975.
She tought in Deer-Creek Lamont and Pond Creek-Hunter schools. She was an avid member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Eastern Star. She loved her geneology, grandchildren, reading and antiques.
She is survived by her sons, Sam Good and wife Donna of Enid, Okla., and Wayne Good and wife Joelle of Haysville, Kan.; five grandchildren, Sammy and Tim of Enid, Okla., Christina of Yukon, Okla., Trenton of Haysville, Kan., and Tanya of Austin, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Austin, Texas, Amanda, Enid, Okla., and Joseph, Yukon, Okla.; and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pond Creek Cemetery Association or Hospice Circle of Love.
