Vicki Lunday, 60, of Rush Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was born to Joan Coffin and the late Wayne Coffin on Dec. 20, 1952, in Dodge City, Kan.
Vicki’s funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Chickasha.
Vicki graduated from Mooreland High School in 1970, then attended nurse’s training at Woodward Vocational School of Practical Nursing, where she graduated in 1973.
She had worked in the field of nursing for 39 years as an LPN, a nursing home administrator, and a nursing coordinator, prior to retiring from Five Oaks Medical Center last year.
Vicki was an excellent wife, mother and daughter. She loved spending time with family and friends, doing things for others, and doing just about anything with her husband of 34 years, Neal. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Coffin, and her father-in-law, Albert Lunday.
She is survived by her husband, Neal Lunday; son, Clynt Lunday; daughter, Layne Lunday; mother, Joan Coffin; brothers and spouses, Lynn and Robin Coffin, Larry and Benita Coffin, and Galen and Kristi Coffin; mother-in-law, Edith Hutchison; brothers-in-law and spouses, Larry and Billie Lunday, Ronald Lunday, Eric Lunday and Rick Lunday; along with numerous other family members.
Vicki’s family has requested in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Vicki’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
