ENID, OK — Memorial service for Richard “Joe” Morris, 77, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Central Christian Church, with the Rev. John L. McLemore Sr. officiating. At his request, he was donated to OU Health Science Center.

Joe was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Alva, Okla., the son of Virgil and Grace (Mathers) Morris and passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Enid.

He was a 1954 graduate of Enid High School. He attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash.

He worked with his parents in their grocery store, Morris Thrifty Wise, for many years. He also was co-owner of Oringderff Banklock Services.

He and Jean Clark were married Sept. 24, 1976, in Enid.

Joe is survived by his wife, Jean of 36 years; daughters, Karen and Kim of Enid; two stepchildren, Dale and Carol; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; sister, Jeanne; daughter, Kelly; and son, Richard.

Memorials may be made in his name to Central Christian Church.
