ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Earlene Massie, 86, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Liberty, Mo., to Paul and Pauline Kimble Heald and died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She grew up in North Kansas City, attending school there and Waynsville, Mo.

On Dec. 23, 1949, she married Bill Massie in North Kansas City, Mo. They moved to Billings and then to Enid in 1961.

She was the secretary at the Enid High School’s Principal’s office for almost 20 years.

Her husband preceded her in death on July 2, 1992.

She belonged to the Support Personnel Association, Senior Citizen Center, Baptist Volunteers, and the YMCA, where she enjoyed water exercise.

She is survived by a son, Jerry A. Massie and wife Neville of Edmond; two daughters, Janet Poland and husband Paul of Enid, and Peggy Sheets of Alabama; four grandsons, Mark and Kevin Sheets and Kyle and Trevor Howard; two great-granddaughters, Abby and Cameron; and one great-grandson, Gabe.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
