Sue Ann Graham was born on July 21, 1952, in Wichita, Kan., to Vance Dow and Norma (Pharis) Dow and passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home in Enid.
She grew up on a farm west of Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School. On August 7, 1970, she married David Graham. They lived in Enid, where their children were born.
She was employed as a secretary for the city of Enid water department.
The family moved to Kansas City, Mo., in 1986. She was a general manager for Taco Bell in Kansas City, Mo., for 17 years. She retired seven years ago when she returned to Oklahoma. Sue was employed part-time at the Avon store in Enid until 2012. She was a member of Enid First Assembly of God church.
Sue’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life and motivated her to live everyday to the fullest. She was a selfless person and always cared for others above herself. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Before Sue’s illness, she and her family went on a cruise. Through this experience, the family created lifelong memories that will never be forgotten. Sue was the peacemaker and the glue that holds the family together. Even in the lowest points of her illness, her faith in God never wavered. Sue believed in doing what is right, and making memories along the way.
She is survived by three children: Shelly Lively and her husband Joshua of Enid, Brian Graham and fiancée Cassie Nichols of Blue Springs, Mo., and Amy Graham and fiancé Chris Fraley of Enid; her father, Vance Dow of Longdale, Okla.; four grandchildren, Dylan Lively, Trystan Lively, Gabrielle Greenway and Mason Graham; one brother, Steve Dow and wife Yvonne of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Sherry White and husband David of Moore, Okla., Jan Voth and husband Dennis of Longdale, Okla., and Jerri Baker and husband Keith of Cleo Springs, Okla.
Dave and Duane Graham have remained an important part of her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma Dow, grandson, Caiden Lively, and her grandparents.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart Division, or Enid First Assembly of God church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds. Online Condolences may be sent to www.ladusaue vans.com.
In Proverbs 31, Solomon wrote of Sue’s character when he declared, “Her children will rise up and call her blessed.” Sue has left a living legacy of faith, hope and love! Today, we call her blessed!
