ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Terry Craig Hawkins, 52-year-old former Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. today, May 15, 2013, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kevin Choate will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Terry was born Jan. 20, 1961, in Enid to Jesse and Connie (Bishop) Hawkins and died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1979. He also attended the Autry Vo-Tech welding program.
He worked with the George E. Failing Co. for nine years as a welder and owned and operated Hawk’s Gun Shack.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed watching westerns and sports, was a fan of NASCAR, collected Coca-Cola memorabilia, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Davis and husband Nick of Weatherford, Okla.; his mother, Connie Hawkins of Enid; one granddaughter, Regan; brother, Carroll Drake of Waldorf, Md.; and sister, Cheri Thompson of Enid. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who treated him like a brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Carl Hawkins, and one brother, Wayne Hawkins.
