Richard O “Dick” Snyder

ENID — Richard O “Dick” Snyder was born July 7, 1925, to Richard and Francis (Fleeman) Snyder in Sugar Creek, Mo. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at his home in Enid, Okla.

Dick married Jean Field Aug. 27, 1976, in Kansas City, Mo.

He was a Master Mason and a Shriner with the Akdar Shrine. He was a member of the Enid Klowns and drove a little car in many local and regional parades.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; brother-in-law, Robert Rice; nephews, Daniel and Richard Rice; sisters-in-law, Tana Field, Paula (Ed) King, Mary (Tom) Legeret; brothers-in-law, Rex Field and Mike (Denise) Field; daughter, Karen McGee; son, Michael Snyder; and daughter, Sarah Pfeiffer; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Beverly Rice and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, with Father Bob Fellows officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Shrine Hospital, St. Matthews Alter Guild, or Hospice Circle of Love.

    Funeral service for DeLawrence “De” Hamilton will be Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Medford. The Rev. Bob Smith and the Rev. Jonathan Gilliland will officiate.      De was born June 2, 1926, in Medford, the son of George Alexander and Myrtle Biby Hamilton. De graduated from Gore High School. He entered the U.S. Navy on July 3, 1944 and was discharged on June 13, 1946. After De returned to Medford, he and Emma Jean Carrier were married on Sept. 29, 1946, in Nash. De worked as a butcher and retired in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford and was ordained as a Deacon in 1951.
