Amy “Lynette” Williams, 57, of Enid, Oklahoma, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Enid.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Dumas, Texas, with Jerry Howe officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 500 N. Maddox Ave., Dumas.
Lynette was born Feb. 8, 1956, in Plainview to Bobby and Joan Williams. Lynette was a very special person. Animals, music, puzzles, drinking Cokes, playing on the swing set and trampoline and riding the bicycle were some of her favorite activities. She loved being outside, going to Dumas Airport and especially being with her family.
Survivors include her parents, Bobby and Linda Williams of Dumas, and Joan Williams of Dalhart, Texas; two sisters, Neila Williams McClellan and husband, James, of Dalhart, and April Garrett Diehl and husband, Jeff, of Glenview, Illinois; three brothers, Kyle Williams and wife, Mauri, of Boerne, Bryce Williams and wife, Misty of Spearman and Justin Garrett and wife, Lori of Dumas; nieces and nephews, Jarod and Kasta Leonard, Brandon Leonard, Cole and Cassidy Williams, Avery and Leighton Williams, Sawyer Williams, Joe and Jesse Garrett, Kaitlen and Tim Oleson, Taylor, Kalysta and Rylee Williams and Grace, Isabelle, Caroline and Madeline Diehl.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at NORCE and staff of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center ICU.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to “Lynette’s Home for Handicapped Girls” in care of Happy State Bank, 800 South Dumas Ave., Dumas, TX 79029.
