The funeral service for Tommy Dan Morrill, age 93, will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 7-8 this evening at the funeral home.
Tommy was born to Daniel and Iola Morrill June, 6, 1920, in Carmi, Illinois, and passed away Monday, June 11, 2013.
Tommy worked on the family farm until he entered the U.S. Army and then went to work in oil fields in Illinois and Colorado.
He married Betty McCall February 8, 1963, in Sterling, Colorado.
They moved to Oklahoma to work in the oil fields in 1963, and then he retired and went to work for First United Methodist Church and Walmart. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he was an elder. Tommy enjoyed camping and belonged to a camping club and traveled several places.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; five children, Yuevettee Fennell of Sterling, Colorado, Linda Cullip of Akron, Colorado, Jeff Zapp of Enid, Barb Phillips of Dallas, Texas, Candy Gallegos of Allen, Texas; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob Morrill of Carmi, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings and two grandchildren.
