Published 11-14-13

ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for William Dixon McKeever, 52-year-old former Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Debbie Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

William Dixon McKeever was born Oct. 31, 1961, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Tulsa, Okla. Bill was the son of Carilyn S. (Dixon) McKeever and Stephen G. McKeever.

In 1966, the family moved to Enid, where he graduated from Enid High in 1980. He then attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and where he graduated with a degree in finance.

Soon after graduation, he moved to Boston and went into banking, eventually working his way up to being the manager of his own branch. He moved back to Oklahoma and became employed at the Bank of Oklahoma’s headquarters in downtown Tulsa.

At some point, Bill decided that banking “wasn’t his thing.” He made the decision to change professions and moved to financial management for the remaining 21 years of his career.

Survivors include his parents, Steve and Glenda McKeever; two siblings, Mike and Kelly; and an uncle, Phil McKeever. Also surviving are cousins, Laurie Stahle and Molly Krenz.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Carilyn, who passed away in 1974.

He attended Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Tulsa.

Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to OMRF, acoustic neuroma divison.

Condolences may be made to the family online at www.enidwecare.com.
