ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Iva Hodges Waldroupe, 92-year-old Enid resident, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Holt will officiate.

Iva was born Dec. 30, 1920, in Waco, Texas, to George and Myrtle (Reed) Sandel and died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at her home in Enid.

She attended school in McGregor, Texas.

On June 23, 1943, she married Paul Hodges in Marfia, Texas. The couple made their first home in Ardmore, Okla., where he was stationed with the Army Air Corps.

The couple moved to Enid in 1952. She became a nurse aid at Enid Memorial Hospital. She worked there for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Liberty Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and arranging flowers.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Hodges of Oklahoma City and Larry Hodges of Midland, Texas; also her stepson, Larry Waldroupe of Port Richey, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands, Paul Hodges and Jim Waldroupe.
