ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Lovina Ellen Clark will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva. Rev. Greg Counce, Pastor of Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Interment in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lovina Ellen, daughter of Lovina (Bonewitz) and Jim Davis was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Carmen, Okla. She passed away at Beadles Nursing Home on the 24th day of April at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 30 days.

She attended school and graduated from Carmen.

On May 19, 1951, the day after graduation, she was married to J.L “Bud” Clark. They immediately set out on a life filled with adventures and hard work.

Lovina grew up in Carmen, Okla., where she helped her mother in business’ at an early age. She took the business proceeds to the bank at age five and counted the deposits to make sure they were correct. This began Lovina’s lifelong expertise with money and business.

She worked for many years with C.W. Wisdom, both at Alva State Bank and with his family. She built business’ selling crop insurance and as an adjuster, as well as farming, ranching and horse breeding with the love of her life J.L.”Bud” Clark.

Bud and Lovina worked together in all areas and always had each other’s back. Their life together is a great example of how love and commitment to each other triumphs over all things.

Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Corene, Susie and Alice, and two brothers, Jim and R.W. “Bob.”

Lovina is survived by her husband, Bud, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Beadles Nursing Home.
