ENID, Okla. —
Service for Connie Annette Tickle, 77, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013, at Community Church of The Plains, with Pastor Randall Hackworth officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Connie was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Brock, Texas, the daughter of Martin and Daisy Henry Brown and passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Enid.
She was educated in Millsap, Texas.
Connie married J.L. Martin in 1953, in Kansas City, Mo. Three children were born to this union, Charlotte, Jamie and Jo.
Connie was a Girl Scout counselor for numerous years, member of the Ladies’ Optimist Club, and Enid Canasta Club.
Connie married Howdy Tickle in 1977.
Survivors include, Howdy of the residence; daughters, Charlotte Martin of Enid, Jona Tickle of Oklahoma City, Starla Harrison and husband Paul of Mesquite, Texas; son, Clell Tickle of New York City; sisters, Bonnie Royalty of Whitney, Texas, Joy Chandler of Burleson, Texas, Ruth Jones of Stillwater, Okla., and Jane Harris of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Gillis Brown of Fort Worth, Texas, and Bob Brown of Millsap, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and close family friend, Grady Bohannan.
Connie was preceded in passing by her parents; son, Jamie; daughter, Jo; and husband, J.L.
The family has selected Community Church of The Plains as appropriate for memorial donations with the Stittsworth Family coordinating.
