ENID, Okla. —
Heather Laree Clodfelter, 66, fell asleep with Jesus on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Heather was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Herbert and Virginia Favreau.
Her father served in the Army, and after his retirement, the family settled in Enid. She attended Enid High School and eventually started a career in administrative work in the medical field.
From a young age, Heather developed a love for animals. She was known to rescue strays and fight against animal cruelty. She loved laughing and reminiscing with her sister, listening to KISS and ACDC with her son, and every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Heather is survived by her husband, Gary Wood; sister and husband, Missy and Gary Cole; sister and husband, Teresa and Craig Vance; son and daughter, Matthew and Trish Clodfelter; sons, Mike and Mark Clodfelter; and 12 grandchildren.
The family would like to give their heartfelt gratitude to her husband, Gary Wood for the constant love, support and care he gave her through her lengthy illness.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enid SPCA.
