ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Marion LeRoy Bacher, 95, of Ponca City, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, in Resthaven Cemetery, Ponca City, with Rev. Doyle Sharp officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army. Service is under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Marion was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Uncus, Okla., the son of Lawrence and Opal Davidson Bacher and passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013, in Stillwater.

He was raised in Uncus and worked as a mechanic.

Marion served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Marion married Mary Louise Evans April 24, 1940. He worked for the FAA as a mechanic, retiring in 1982, as an inspector.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Kiesel of Midwest City, Okla.; grandchildren, Amanda Burris of League City, Texas, Michell Durbecq of Ponca City, and Michael Kiesel of Rapid City, S.D.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Marion was preceded in passing by his parents, wife, and brothers, Lester and Gordon, and sister, Shirley Hollingsworth.
