ENID, Okla. —
Rosary for Edward Lavoie, 77, of Enid, Okla., will be held privately at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Tony Crispo will officiate under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 9, 1936, to George and Emma Michaud Lavoie in Caswell, Maine, and passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, in Enid.
He grew up and was educated in Caswell.
He moved to Hartford, Conn., where he met and married Lucy Berube on July 13, 1957. They moved to Andover, Conn., before moving to Vernon, Conn., where they made their home.
He worked in construction and had a trucking company with his brothers Joe and Jim, Lavoie Trucking. He retired in 1987 and moved to Florida. He worked for a brief time for the Public Works Department in Pasco County.
He moved to Enid in 2012 to be near family.
He is survived by his sons, Edward and wife Karen of East Granby, Conn., and Michael and wife Denise of Enid; daughter, Annette and husband Paul Nutile of Ellington, Conn.; grandchildren, Timothy, Eric, Devyn, E.J., Taylor and Brittany; brothers, Joe and Jim.
He was preceded by his wife, Lucy; his sister, Rita; and brothers, Ovide, Albert and William.
Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
