ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Arthur V. Krienke, 89, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Eric Brown will officiate.
Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Arthur was born March 19, 1923, in Garfield County to Herman and Elizabeth Rutz Krienke and died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in Enid, Okla.
He attended and graduated from Lahoma High School in 1940.
After graduation, he traveled with a semi-pro softball team sponsored by Failing Supply Co.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after Pearl Harbor.
He married Ruth Pereboom Oct. 14, 1945. They farmed in the Lahoma area all of their lives.
He enjoyed fishing and watching the crops as they grew. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son, Tim Krienke and wife Sherri of Lahoma, Okla.; grandchildren, Jessi Nelson and husband Matt of Yukon, Okla., Hannah Krienke of Yukon, Okla., and Shane Goss and wife Jenni of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Havynne Jones, Landon Johnson and Ariana Goss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth, five brothers and four sisters.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Church Missouri Synod with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
