ENID, OK —
Service for Vernon Dewey Trammell, 67, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Military rites will be coordinated by the United States Army. Service is under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
Vernon was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Oklahoma City, the son of Woodrow and Mary Louise Knoblock Trammell and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his residence.
He married Zana Bennett on Jan. 19, 1973.
He enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and making leather work.
Survivors include his wife, Zana of the residence; daughters, Veronica Trammell of the residence, and Vanessa (David) Frye of Enid; grandchildren, Haley and Johnny; sister, Linda Sue Trammell; brothers, Woodrow Jr., Victor, Eddie and Timothy; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wilson and family and Jennifer Moore and son.
Vernon was preceded in passing by his parents, grandparents and sister, Sandra.
