ENID, Okla. —
The family of Donald Lee Ashworth will be receiving guests at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 5-7 p.m.
Burial will be held the following day at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, in Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Michael Surbaugh officiating.
Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born April 20, 1923, to William and Anna (Elam) Ashworth in Sand Springs, Okla., and passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Enid.
He graduated from Ponca City High School.
He married Marjorie “Peggy” Schneider on Aug. 14, 1943, in Ponca City.
He attended Orange County Community College in California for two years.
He returned to Ponca City in 1949, then made his home in Enid in 1950.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Oklahoma Square Dance Federation.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Melody and husband Sylvan Reynolds; granddaughter, Megan and husband Harvey Lavicky Jr.; and his beloved cat, Pumpkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be given to Enid SPCA or American Heart Association, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
