ENID, Okla. —
Memorial service for James “Jimmy” Monroe Weir Jr., 90, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel.
Jimmy was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Enid and died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Enid.
Jimmy grew up in Enid and served during World War II.
He came back to Enid, where he was a ticket-taker and usher at the movie theater, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed working on cars, collecting things, and watching wrestling.
Jimmy married Mildred Irene Mathern-Baldwin, and loved his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He is survived by daughter, Roberta Blockcolski of Enid; four grandchildren, Casey Lynn McCarter, Katherene Irene McCarter, Misty Dawn Blockcolski and Crystal Ann Blockcolski, all of Enid; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, and sister.
