ENID, Okla. —
LaRue Mergelkamp, 87, of Pennsburg, formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in E. Norriton, Pa.
She was the wife of the late Howard Mergelkamp Sr. (CMSgt, retired).
LaRue was born in Enid, Okla., the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Tedford) Maddox.
She was a career civil service secretary, working for the U.S. Air Force at bases across the country and in Japan. She retired in 1988, as a senior secretary in the U.S. Readiness Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla.
She is survived by son, Howard Jr. and wife Ariadna, E. Greenville; daughter, Sharon Richwine and husband Robert, Woodbridge, Va.; sisters, Jeannine Sherman, Lola Carol Boger and Lois Davenport; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, Quakertown, Pa.
