ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Billy Joe Ging, 70, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30-7 p.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Billy was born to Joe Henry and Eunice (Razey) Ging on June 1, 1943, in Granite, and died Friday, July 5, 2013, at Kaw Lake.
Billy grew up in Carmen and Enid, graduating from Enid High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
On June 12, 1966, he married Ruthie Kent. They made their home in Enid, where Billy worked at GEFCO, and later owned and operated Bill’s Westside Texaco and Bill’s 66.
He returned to GEFCO in 1993, and retired on May 31, 2013. He enjoyed fising, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Billy is survived by his wife, Ruthie of the home; three sons, David Ging and wife Darlene, Todd Ging and wife DeLisa, and Jason Ging, all of Enid; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Lester Ging and wife Freda of Enid; sister, Nina Miles and husband George of Hilton, N.Y.; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne and Glen; and sisters, Clidene Replogle, Yvetta Hays, Barbara Vasquez and Josephine Ging.
