ENID, Okla. —
Funeral for Leonard “Keith” Johnson, 71-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Jim Sutherlin will officiate.
Visitation with family is 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Keith was born March 31, 1942, in Tulsa, Okla., to Leonard and Alice Joyce (Nicholson) Johnson and died Monday, April 15, 2013, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He attended Tulsa schools and graduated from Lindsay High School. He then attended and graduated from Phillips University with a business degree.
On July 25, 1964, he married Mary Cokeley in Enid, where the couple made their home.
He and Jim Sutherlin were partners in Phillips Window Cleaning and he later was partnered with Raymond Hendrie in Cleanco.
In 1980, he went to work fulltime with the National Guard, from which he retired in 2002, after over 35 years of service.
He was a long-time member of Central Christian Church.
While in College, he was a member of the Gridiron Club. He loved Humphrey Bogart movies, action adventure films, and old westerns.
He and Mary liked to go antiquing and to country and western concerts. He was also an avid OU football and basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; two brothers, Greg Johnson and wife Sally of Los Angeles, Calif., and Marlo Johnson and wife Carol of Allen, Texas. Also surviving are one uncle, Raymond Johnson and wife Joyce of Tulsa, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
