The service for Jana Kay Mitchell, 67, of Enid, Okla., will be held privately.
She was born July 12, 1946, to Jimmie Brazda and Lois Jeanne Hughes-Fagan in Enid, Okla., and passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, in Enid.
She grew up in Enid and moved with her father to Alva, where she graduated from Alva High school in 1964.
She later moved back to Enid and worked for St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 11 years.
She met her husband, C.L “Mitch” Mitchell in 1976. They married on Dec. 2, 1978.
The couple moved to Choctaw, where they made their home and she was a homemaker and devoted wife.
She moved back to Enid in 2007, to be near her family.
She is survived by five sisters, Judi and husband Calvin Haley of Tulsa, Sue and husband Jim Burnett of Enid, Kathy and husband Robert Graff of Virginia, Patricia and husband Jerry Poschen of Enid, and Sheri and husband Steve Linn of Enid; two brothers, Leonard and wife Jane Fagan of Indiana and Kevin Fagan of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mitch.
Memorials may be given to a charity of donor’s choice, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
