ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Donald H. Coulter, 87, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Central Christian Church. Revs. John P. McLemore Sr. and Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honor Guard will be conducted by the U.S. Navy. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Meno, Okla., to Joe and Marie Pankertz Coulter and passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Enid.
He graduated from Lahoma High School and then entered the U.S. Navy in WWII, serving in the South Pacific. He entered the Naval Reserve after he was honorably discharged.
He farmed in Lahoma and in Kansas some until he was called back to active duty in Korea.
He married Norma Dykes July 12, 1952.
Following his honorable discharge from Korea, he worked for Gold Spot Dairy as a milk inspector and then as assistant manager until retirement.
He and Norma traveled extensively through all 50 states.
He was a member of Central Christian Church and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Norma of the home; daughter, Cindy and husband David Hall of Colleyville, Texas; two grandchildren, Andrew and Mandy; and one great-grandson, Hudson.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold.
Memorials can be given to American Heart Association with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
