ENID, Okla. —
The funeral for Jack Franklin, age 80, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brad Mendenhall officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Jack was born to Hollis and Zelpha Franklin on December 20, 1932, in Anthony, Kansas, and passed away August 4, 2013.
Jack graduated from Anthony High School and served in the United States Air Force for over 21 years. He was an air rescue medic in Vietnam. On May 24, 1954, Jack married Bessie Irene Mangus in Enid.
Jack was discharged from the Air Force on January 1, 1972, and then worked for over 20 years in the civil service. He also worked for Jumbo’s for over 10 years. Jack was a member of Central Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Lee Franklin of Enid and Jeffrey Lynn Franklin of Blanchard, OK; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Neva Barlow of Enid.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters and brothers.
