ENID, Okla. —
Graveside service for George J. Salles, 90, of Edmond, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, in Enid Cemetery, with Chaplain O. Duane Snavely officiating.
He was born March 14, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Pete J. and Edith M. Lyles Salles and died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his residence in Edmond.
He was a 1940 graduate of Enid High School.
George was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII.
He was united in marriage to Waunda Stephan Feb. 2, 1951, in Enid.
He was employed in aircraft maintenance for many years, last working for the FAA retiring in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Waunda of the home; son, George J. Salles Jr. and wife Tammy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Patricia Casey of Edmond; and two grandsons, Chad and Josh Salles of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice of Oklahoma City, Okla., with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
