ENID, Okla. —
Duane Henry Moorman of Ashland, Kan., passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, Kan. He was born June 3, 1937, in Nickerson, Kan., to Merton and Mary (Mull) Moorman.
The family moved to Ashland in 1943, to help Duane’s grandfather, William Mull, on his ranch. Duane helped on the ranch throughout his childhood. He graduated from Ashland High School and joined the U.S. Army.
After his discharge, he returned to ranching and met the love of his life, Jessie Johnson. The couple were married June 3, 1971.
Duane will be missed by his family: daughters, May Isenbart and husband Vincent of Englewood, Kan., Judy Bridwell and husband John of Spearman, Texas, and Pam Johnson and Alan Wright of Helena, Okla.; grandchildren, Mark and Tracy Isenbart, Debbie Isenbart, Karen Isenbart and Brandi and Mike Heiland; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Isenbart, Cooper Heiland and Marcus Isenbart; and three nephews, Rick, Gary and Mike Moorman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; his parents; his brother, Keith Moorman; and aunt, Lena Mull.
A graveside service will be 11a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in Englewood Cemetery in Englewood, Kan. Arrangements were entrusted to Myatt-Ashland Funeral Home, Ashland, Kan.
