ENID — Funeral service for Joseph Henry Dutton, 92, of Hennessey, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Union Chapel, Hennessey, with Pastor Duane Roever officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Lyon Valley Cemetery under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. The traditional I.O.O.F. service will be conducted by I.O.O.F. Lodge 31.

Joe was born March 12, 1919, in Lockhaven, Penn., the son of Gabriel and Elsie Eck Dutton, and passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Hennessey Care Center.

Joe moved to Oklahoma in 1939, working as a ranch hand at Cross Bell Ranch, near Hominy.

He married Ladonna Baldwin. She preceded him in death.

Joe later worked at several ranches in Oklahoma as a horse trainer, then working at Tinker Air Force Base and the city of Enid for a short time.

Joe worked for Georgie Throckmorton in Waukomis, moving to Hennessey in 1995 and marrying Betty Fountaine.

Joe was a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge 31 in Enid, where he served as Noble Grand, later joining Rebekah Lodge 21, where he also served as Noble Grand.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the residence; daughters, Beth and husband Harvey Lenard of Enid and Margaret Morris of Enid; sons, Mark Dutton of Enid and Joseph Jr. of Geronimo, Okla.; brothers, Thomas and Ralph; sisters, Thelma, Kate and Irene; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
