ENID, Okla. —
Graveside service for Thomas S. Moore Sr., 84, of Drummond, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Waukomis Cemetery. The Rev. Garry Vincent will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Waukomis Lodge 161.
Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1929, to Thomas Schley Moore Sr. and Emma Rose (Valtr) Moore in Enid, Okla., and passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Enid.
He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1947. He attended A&M in Stillwater, then graduated from Okmulgee Tech.
He served in the United States Navy, where he was head engineer on the Destroyer Escort during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954.
He met his wife of 61 years, Diana, in Long Beach, Calif. They married Oct. 10, 1952.
He was a middle weight Golden Glove Boxer. He owned and operated Moore and Son’s Diesel Service from 1962-1993. He was a 32 Degree Mason, Waukomis Lodge 161.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; sons, Thomas Moore Jr. and Arthur Moore; daughter, Debra Milacek; grandsons, Thomas Moore, Jarred Moore, Garret Moore, Grant Moore, Kevan Milacek and Paul Leisher; granddaughters, Amy Moore, Alice Moore and Kerri Foster; great-grandchildren, Trey Leisher, Clay Hale, Cayden Hale, Caleb Hale, Baylee Foster, and Kinsley Foster; and his faithful dog, Austie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be given to the Drummond Fire Department, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
