ENID, Okla. —
Memorial service for Eli Duyane Arnold Sr., 77, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dan Rogers officiating.
Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Eli was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Muscotah, Kan., to Earl and Hazel Attebury Arnold and died Monday, April 1, 2013, in Enid.
Eli grew up in Maysville, Mo., and Atchison, Kan., and then attended Highland Community College.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea as a telegraph operator.
Eli was employed as a contract negotiator and purchasing agent for General Electric for 291⁄2 years.
On Nov. 9, 2011, he married Prelyn Basilan in Kingfisher. They made their home in Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer and Earl; and sister, Winifred.
Eli is survived by his wife, Prelyn of the home; children and their spouses, Eli D. Arnold Jr. of Ridgefield, Wash., Pamela and Tom Mayfield of Horton, Kan., Daniel and Jenny Arnold of Snoqualmia, Wash., Rebecca and Pat Bembrick and Yvonne Murrow and Corey Rosenberger, all of Hiawatha, Kan., and Nathan and Sabre Arnold of Rushville, Mo.; brother, Clarence Arnold of Edmunds, Wash.; sister, Doris Strathman of Atchison, Kan.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
