ENID, Okla. — The funeral service for Ray E. Davidson, 86, former Cherokee resident, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Cherokee First Baptist Church, with Brother Tom Cooksey officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee.

Ray was born March 20, 1926, the son of Toy and Myrtle Crain Davidson and died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at his home in Fairborn, Ohio.

He attended school in Cherokee.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He and Darlene Ream were married in 1942.

Ray was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene of the home; two sons, Terry Davidson of Fairborn, Ohio, and Randy Davidson of Kentucky; a sister, Dorothy Wyatt of Norman; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
