ENID, OK — Social worker and community activist, Kathryn Glass, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, in Lakewood, Colo., survived by her partner of 35 years, Carmah Lawler, many cousins and friends across this country and Canada.

She was the daughter of Robert and Agnes Glass of Waukomis.

After receiving a B.A. degree from Oklahoma State and a master of social work from Denver University, she worked in Denver and Vancouver, B.C., in children’s services, retiring as a social worker from Jefferson County schools in Colorado.

She and Carmah enjoyed many years of traveling and lobbying for children and equality issues for the Colorado League of Women Voters at the State Legislature.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in Lakewood on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. Arrangements by Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home and Colorado Crematory, Arvada, Colo.
