ENID, Okla. —
Mass of Christian burial for George Louis Gragert, 80, of Enid, Okla., will be noon Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Irwin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the church.
George was born March 7, 1934, in Fairmont, Okla., the son of Walter and Amelia Jacobi Gragert.
Mr. Gragert was a graduate of Douglas High School in 1952.
He was united in marriage to Louise Lollman in 1966, and to this union, two sons were born.
George was employed at Bell Jewelers and later owned and operated George’s Engraving and Jewelry, retiring in 2006. His hobbies included collecting Air Force patches, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Tim and his wife Beth of McKinney, Texas, and Kevin of Carrollton, Texas; two sisters, Joann St. John of Virginia and Shelba Baker of Oklahoma; and a brother, Donald Gragert of Fairmont, Okla.
Mr. Gragert was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
