Henry Eugene Henley, 89, of Pond Creek, Okla., was the son of Goldie and Edward Henley. He was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Pond Creek, Okla. Henry passed from this life and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Perry, Okla., with his children by his side.
On Oct. 9, 1952, Henry and Ellen Alexander were married In Pond Creek, where they lived for 61 years. Ellen now lives in Perry, Okla.
Henry was a lifetime resident of Pond Creek, where with his brother, Edward Henley, operated Henley Brothers Hardware through 1994, and Henley Brothers Farm through 2012.
He was a Master Mason and was Past Master of the Pond Creek Masonic Lodge, having served as Worshipful Master from 1960-1961. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifelong member of Pond Creek United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities as a Sunday school teacher and MYF leader.
Henry was a loving caregiver for his wife and family. He loved building with his hands, fixing things and playing a friendly joke. He will always be remembered by those who knew him for his keen sense of humor and willingness to help with any repair project.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at United Methodist Church, Pond Creek, Okla. The Rev. George M. Lupton will officiate. Service is under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Okla.
Memorials may be made to Pond Creek Ambulance Service and Alzheimer’s Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
Henry is survived by his wife, Ellen Henley; son, James E. Henley and wife Mollye of Perry, Okla.; daughter, Sandra Jennings and husband John of Weatherford Texas; three grandchildren, Clinton Henley and wife Bailey, Jill Daft and husband Cody, and Allison Riggs and husband James; two stepgranddaughters, D’Lesa and husband Randy Graves, and Julie and husband Charles McClure; and six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dalton and Barrett Daft, Graye and Henley Riggs and Sydney Graves.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Goldie Henley, and brothers, Edward Henley and John Henley.

Funeral for Loren Pollard, 84, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Hennessey, officiated by the Rev. Keith Wilkerson. Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Loren was born in Lovell on April 28, 1930, to Jack and Velma Sample Pollard and died Monday July 21, 2014, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.
He was a member of Marshall Masonic Lodge, Kingfisher County Cattlemen’s Association, and was on the board of directors of Kingfisher Bank and Trust.
Evelyn Marie Fuxa Traynor
Mass of Christian burial for Evelyn Marie Fuxa Traynor, 82-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Rajesh Mankena will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Our dear wife, mother and grandmother left us on Monday, July 21, 2014. Evelyn was the last of her family of John A. and Mary C. Fuxa.
Also preceding her was Ernest who died in World war II, Henry, Virgil, Benny and Louise Conrady.
She is survived by her loving husband, R.A. “Skeeter” and children, Linda and husband Randy Fuller of Enid and son, Dennis Traynor of Waukomis and friend Cindy Zaloudek of Tulsa. Evelyn’s grandchildren of whom she was so proud are Justin and Lauren Traynor of Yukon, Okla., Dr. Megan Traynor of Rochester, Minn., Allison Traynor RN and fiancee’ Cody Daniels of Edmond, Okla., and Stephen Fuller of Oklahoma City.
Evelyn was born Aug. 11, 1931, in Bison, Okla., and graduated from Wakoumis in 1947. She was basketball homecoming queen, played sports and helped work the family farm.
Gerald E. Murray
Funeral for Gerald E. Murray, 75-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery.
Gerald was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Enid, Okla., to Lee and Jesse (Campbell) Murray and died Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home in Enid.
At age 16, Gerald started working for the Frisco Railroad, which later became Burlington Northern. He served in many capacities with the railroad, retiring after 38 years of service.
He served in the National Guard.
On Aug. 24, 1959, he married Lois Colvard in Aurora, Mo. The couple made their home in Enid, where he attended Gospel Light Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, liked playing card games and listening to music. But he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral service for Charlene Pitcher will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Canton First Baptist Church. Interment is 3:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward. Visitation is Wednesday afternoon, July 23, and Thursday morning until 11 a.m. at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Duglas Earl Roach
Funeral service for Duglas Earl Roach, 68, of Dacoma, will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva, followed by a private interment.
Duglas Earl of Dacoma, Okla., was born to Vynone (Pullan) and Floyd Roach on August 8, 1945 in Alva, Okla. He passed away on July 19, 2014, in Oklahoma City at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 11 days.
Duglas attended The Alva School System until he joined the Army on Sept. 11, 1962, later receiving his GED while with USAR Control GP (Reinforcement) USA Admin Center St. Louis, Mo., and Btry A 4th Msl Bn (MH) 7th Arty Bergstrom AFB Texas ARADCOM and was discharged on Sept. 30, 1965.
On July 3, 1992, he was married to Clara Mathews in Globe, Ariz.

Mathresa Ann Weaver
Mathresa Ann Weaver, 32, CNA and substitute teacher, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
She is survived by her parents, Raymond and Ann Meritt; children, Arick and Allison Weaver; stepchildren, Alec and Austin Weaver; brother, James Meritt, all of Wichita.
Mathresa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Everett and Ruby Meritt and maternal grandparents, Bob and Vivian Yoho.
No public visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Smith Mortuary, Derby, Kan.
Frances Mae Jones Staggs
Funeral service for Frances Mae Jones Staggs, 89, of Enid, Okla., is 2 p.m. today, July 22, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Wray will officiate. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Frances “Sis” was born April 29, 1925, to Bruce and Nellie Fauchier Jones in Brownville, Texas, and passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014.
She grew up in the Harmony community, southwest of Hennessey and attended Victory and Hennessey schools.
Frances was a member of Harmony Church.
H. Kenneth 'Kenny' Miller
H. Kenneth “Kenny” Miller, 92, of Welda, Kan., formerly of Garfield County, Okla., died Friday, July 18, 2014.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church in Aliceville, Kan.
He was born in Garfield County and married Norma Fay Wyman in 1941, in Douglas. They farmed in Covington until 1946. She died in 1989.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Lou Beopple of Garfield County.
