ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Alan Ray Klusener, 65, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Alan was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Russell, Kan., to Robert and Virginia Becker Klusener and passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He grew up in Russell and Ellis, Kan., where he attended and graduated from Ellis High School.
Alan attended Fort Hays State University, where he received his B.A. in 1966.
Alan worked at a pharmacy as a chemist and later went to work for paint companies, where he worked to improve the quality of the paint. He worked in Wichita, Kan., and Alabama.
Alan liked to sing in the church choirs in the Methodist churches.
Alan came to Enid in 2002 to be near his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Scarlett Klusener of Sapulpa, Okla.; parents, Bob and Virginia Klusener of Enid; sister, Vicki Guest and husband Gary of Enid; brother, Tim Klusener and wife Dana of Sugarland, Texas; a grandson, Tristen; twin nieces, Gina and Farrah and niece, Beth.
