ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Luella Morgaridge, 96, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in Ames Cemetery in Ames, Okla., with the Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Luella was born Nov. 19, 1917, in Downing, Mo., to Henry and Nannie Gooden. The family moved to Ames when she was a year old and where she attended school through the eighth grade.

During her time in Ames, she helped on the family farm and worked during the wheat harvest.

She married Alfred Morgaridge Sept. 2, 1939, in Fairview, Okla. The couple moved to Enid on Jan. 15, 1945.

Luella was an active homemaker and a member of the Home Demonstration Club, where she sewed and canned. She also was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances Hall of Bridgeport and Reta Crenshaw and husband Denny of Meno; six grandchildren, Pam Morgaridge of Oklahoma City, Quinton and Tracy of Oklahoma City, Angela Morgardige of Lampasas, Texas, Kanzeda Crenshaw of Whittier, Calif., Amanda Moss of Midwest City, Okla., and Darin Hall of Bridgeport, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; sister, Amy Peck; two brothers, Raymond and Tilmoon Gooden; and one son, Archie Dewaine.

Memorials may be made to Ames Cemetery with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians.
