ENID, Okla. —
Memorial service for Delbert Holmes, 57, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army.
He was born Nov. 3, 1956, to Delbert and Veda Johnson Holmes in Lodi, Calif., and passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Enid.
He moved to Porum, Okla., with his family and attended Porum High School.
He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
He moved to Enid and worked in commercial remodeling and then as a truck driver in the petroleum industry.
He is survived by his daughter, Candace Johnston and husband Russ of Lahoma; granddaughter, Chadlynn Holmes of Lahoma; two sons, Ryan and Tyler Holmes of Southern California; two sisters, Carolyn McCrary and husband Jim of Paducah, Ky., and Debbie Arthurs and husband Bill of Enid; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Abigail Johnston.
Memorials can be given to the Veteran Diabetes Fund with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
