• KC Electric, 4300 S. Van Buren, reported sometime between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, someone entered a job site in the 500 block of South Independence and took two 50-foot extention cords, a 90-foot copper wire, a 120-foot copper wire and a set of wooden steps. Estimated value, $1,560.

Feb. 19

• Walmart, 5505 W. Garriott, reported between 5:15 and 8:01 p.m. Tuesday, two individuals attempted to leave the business without paying for 172 items of merchandise. Estimated value, $808.

• Shawn Meyers, of the 1400 block of South Jefferson, reported sometime between 5 and 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, someone entered his residence and took miscellaneous coins and DVDs, two Walkie-talkies, a medal, a Gateway laptop, DVD player, Dell tablet, two hats and a TV remote. Estimated value, $700
