ESPN may replace SI as OU's problem

Well, maybe we can blame Oklahoma's 17-10 loss to Texas Christian on the ESPN jinx.

ESPN may be replacing Sports Illustrated as the most dreaded media to come to Norman.

Remember the week ESPN chose to feature the Sooners in 2001? Remember Oklahoma State 16, OU 13?

The ESPN cameras, instead of showing the Sooners celebrating the Big 12 South championship, got to show the Cowboys celebrating one of the biggest upsets of their history.

Friday, ESPN stopped in Oklahoma for its 50 states in 50 days feature.

While they featured the Oklahoma State Prison Rodeo, Stoops gave an all-access pass to ESPN.

They showed him putting his daughter on the school bus and taking his sons to school, at practice and talking about how his relationship with his family is more important to his personal legacy than his record.

The next day the Sooners lost to TCU in perhaps the worst effort of the Stoops era.

Isn't it ironic Stoops' two home losses have come after ESPN has come to campus?
