Willeford completes Registered Paraplanners Professional Designation Program

Marina Willeford, of Enid, has completed the Registered Paraplanners Professional Designation Program offered by the College for Financial Planning in Denver.

Individuals who complete the educational materials, pass a final exam, sign a code of ethics and disclosure form, and complete an internship earn the right to use the ParaplannerSM or RP mark.

The program offers individuals practical knowledge of the financial planning process and the five disciplines of financial planning. Study topics include the financial planning process, financial statements and cash flow management, time value of money, estate planning and retirement planning, equities and debt instruments and tax planning. Paraplanners do most of the foundational work (preparing plans and reports) for financial planners.

Since 1994, there have been only 13,200 registered paraplanners or RPSM Professional designees. Willeford has more than 21⁄2 years as a branch professional and marketing representative.

She has been invited to attend the live CFP examination preparation course Oct. 15-19 in Denver.
