ENID, Okla. —
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center ranks among the safest hospitals in America and has received an “A” from The LeapFrog Group.
Leapfrog is a national nonprofit organization that measures hospital safety by using publicly available data. Unlike the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services mandatory reporting, participation in this study is voluntary, and this is the first year St. Mary’s submitted data.
Integris Bass Baptist Health Center received a “B” in the survey.
The Hospital Safety Score is a letter grade that reports on patient safety. The survey utilizes 26 evidence-based, national measures of hospital safety that were selected after a review of all hospital safety data publicly available at the national level, including those reported through CMS Hospital Compare and the LeapFrog Hospital Survey. Information from secondary data sources also was used to supplement missing data.
